Since she was a child, Diane has loved entertaining people! She says it is the highest of highs for her when a performance clicks just right - the air seems to thicken as everyone is sucked into the emotion of the moment, which often lasts long after that moment ends. It has long been her goal to facilitate that precious magic as often as possible.

Diane clearly remembers her earliest performance at age 3, and vividly recalls the thrill of rehearsing and singing in front of an audience. By the age of 6, Diane began taking acting classes, and her mother, who is her biggest fan, has been filming her ever since. She was a natural in front of the camera - her own personal 'magic window' - and well at ease in front of warm, caring people.

Talk about talented - acting, flute, piano, singing. She's always jumped at every opportunity to play to an audience, doing 2 pieces for her High School talent show - she read a poem about wearing masks, and sang the easiest way possible for her - acapella - in perfect pitch.

When Diane went on to college her academic
achievements earned her a scholarship
, but she had to make a very tough decision, whether she would pursue drama or music - it couldn't be both. So she opted for drama. Happily her grades enabled her to skip general ed., so she swapped it for a Drama major - adding it to a Language Arts major.

Since Diane had been teaching others since age 12, it was a cakewalk for her to earn an Elementary Education Certificate. She quickly learned that teaching elementary age children was an incredible tool for improving her improvisational skills. Teaching was a fun time in her life and she had a blast, with only 3 bad days in 1 ½ years. Not a bad percentage for any teacher.

While pursuing her Master’s in Ed. degree, Diane had her first “out of home-movie” film
experience. How could any performer resist an opportunity to audition for a national SAG
commercial
? And, she got it!

The producers flew Diane to LA and put her in up at the prestigious Beverly Hills Hotel! What an experience. The famed hotel is frequented regularly by celebrities, and she met many. She found her first work in a commercial film not only easy but a real blast of an experience!

Diane found it a strange experience seeing herself in a TV commercial. A few months after her commercial began airing, she was surprised, and a bit disheartened, when the ad agency began airing a slightly different version of the TV ad, with other actors, whom she had not worked with, featured in the ad. She learned a valuable lesson on the first experience, after receiving a large check in the mail. The check represented what the industry calls 'residuals,’ and since she would be receiving these bonuses every time her commercial aired, she was no longer disappointed.

It was a good lesson and from that point on she was convinced that she must continue to pursue roles, be it in film, commercials or television. Diane has been very fortunate and out of every three auditions, she snags a job, and that is the best encouragement she has needed to stay in the game.

And now some years later, Diane has traveled extensively, having worked in 5 states. She
only has 45 to go!
